Rachael Pirie is a theatre maker from the North East of Scotland who is currently based in Liverpool, with a base in Lancaster. Having trained at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) she graduated with a First Class degree with honours in Community Drama. 

 

Rachael believes in the power of art to make change, and uses theatre within community settings to explore issues that might usually be left untackled. Using memories, stories and oral testimonies Rachael creates impactful pieces of theatre that amplify often unheard voices. 

She is especially interested in immersive, site-specific and one-to-one performance. 

 

Rachael is also an experienced facilitator - running workshops on theatre skills and within education and community settings. She has worked with oganisations including Cheshire Young Carers, Community Objectives CIC, Shakeaspeare in Italy, Liverpool John Moores University and the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.
