A walking tour about identity, sexuality and what it means to hold hands with a stranger.
I Put My Love in Your Hands is a 1-1 participatory audio performance which takes place in city centres.
Created from verbatim interviews with queer voices, the performance offers the chance to walk hand in hand with a stranger through the busy city streets. It asks you to interrogate the assumptions you make when you see people holding hands. It asks you to see, and be seen. Look and be looked at.
What will people think when they see you holding hands with this person? And what do you want them to think?

The piece was first performed in Lancaster in January 2024 and was later commissioned for further development by Culture Warrington as part of Warrington Pride 2024. The piece is available for future performances at festivals or events. Contact us on the details below for further information and availability.
